Hailing from Reykjavík, Iceland, the award-winning* singer and writer Thorsteinn Einarsson already looks back at several impressive career highlights: he released three top 10 albums**, while amassing over 20 million streams and playing live shows throughout Europe.
After finding early fame by making the finale of the biggest casting show in Austria, the Icelandic native signed a major-label deal for his 2015 debut album, 1; (one continued), which later will be marked as the start of his album trilogy.
On said album, the single “Leya” became a massive radio smash hit in Austria and brought in Thorsteinns’ first award for “songwriter of the year” at the Austrian Amadeus Music Awards in 2016, the same year he played in front of over 30.000 spectators at the Donauinsel Festival in Vienna, the biggest outdoor festival in Europe, while still being only 20 years old.
With consecutive radio hits in Austria with singles like “Kryptonite”, “Galaxy”, “Swingset” and “Shackles”, Thorsteinn cemented his status in Austria, while making his first TV and radio appearances in Germany, and making his move into Switzerland with his live show debut at the St. Gallen Open Air.
With shows at festivals like the ESNS in the Netherlands, the Great Escape Festival in the UK and the Reeperbahn Festival in Germany, Thorsteinn could also showcase his live performance in dierent markets, while steadily growing his global fan base.
